David J. Layne is a visionary, mission-driven, and detail-oriented executive with over 20 years of proven strategic leadership and management experience. His passion for community development is unmatched. He has an unwavering commitment to impacting staff development and transformation. David is known for being flexible, creative, resilient, focused, and able to prioritize and simplify complex problems. David's leadership expertise is reflected in his long tenure in executive roles, including serving as an Executive Board Member and Chief Operating Officer (C.O.O.) for Family Is All That Matters (F.I.A.T.M.) since 2014. This experience builds upon more than 20+ years in management and executive roles.
His background includes serving as a General Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car from 2004–2018 in Riverside, CA, where he received numerous honors, including the Regional MVP Award in 2007, Top Sales for Fiscal Year in 2010 and 2011, and the Matrix Award Winner three years in a row (2012, 2013, 2014). He was also recognized for exceptional customer satisfaction with the Annual ESQI 91% in 2016.
Prior to this, he was a Teacher for the Albany City School District from 1996–2004, where he successfully supervised a classroom of 40+ students classified as special need. During this time, he founded an organization Good Brother Foundation Inc.
David is a native of Harlem, New York, who currently resides in Moreno Valley, California. He attended Russell Sage College in 2000, pursuing a BA in Business Administration with a minor in Graphic Design, and also studied Computer Information System and Business Management from 2000-2002. While at Sage College, he was the Captain of the Basketball Team.
